Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Yazid Alsaaid, the developer of Sufratna (“we”, “us”), an independent developer based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They apply to the Sufratna apps for iPhone and Android, their widgets and notifications, and the website sufratna.app (together, “Sufratna”). By creating an account or using Sufratna, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Sufratna.
1. Using Sufratna
Sufratna helps a household plan its breakfasts, meals and salads for the week and share the plan with the people who live there. You may use it for your own and your household's personal, non-commercial use.
You must be an adult under the laws where you live to create a household as a planner. A child may use Sufratna as a household member only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for that use.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a mobile number you're allowed to use and a one-time code we send to it by SMS. Keep your phone and your codes to yourself: anyone who can receive your codes can use your account.
- Use a name your household will recognise, and don't pretend to be someone else.
- When you set up your account you choose to be a planner or a member. This choice can't be changed later; to change it, you would delete your account and create a new one.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away at support@sufratna.app if you think someone else is using it.
3. Households
- A planner can invite people to their household with a QR code or link that works once and for 10 minutes. Only invite people you know, who want to join.
- When you join a household, the planner can see your name, your phone number and when you joined, and you can see the planner's name and the household's plan. You can belong to one household at a time.
- A member can leave a household at any time, and a planner can remove a member at any time. Once removed, a member can no longer see the plan.
- If you share the plan as a PDF, anyone you share it with can see it.
4. Your content
The meals, salads, breakfasts, notes and plans you add (“your content”) remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run Sufratna for you — for example, to show your plan to your household, to put meal names in notifications and widgets, and to create PDFs you ask for. This permission ends when you delete your content or your account, except for anything you have already shared with others.
You're responsible for your content. Don't add anything that is unlawful, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't include other people's private information in it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Sufratna in a way that breaks any law or regulation that applies to you, or harms other people;
- harass, threaten or deceive anyone, or invite people who haven't agreed to join;
- try to access accounts, households or data that aren't yours, or to get around Sufratna's security or limits;
- disrupt or overload Sufratna, or use automated means to access it, except as the law allows;
- copy, modify, sell or reverse engineer the app, except as the law allows;
- use Sufratna to send spam or to request SMS codes for numbers you don't control.
6. Food, allergies and health
Sufratna is a planning tool. It doesn't give nutritional, medical or dietary advice, and it doesn't check meals for ingredients, allergens or suitability. You and your household are responsible for the food you choose, prepare and eat, including any allergies and dietary needs.
7. Price
Sufratna is currently free and has no ads or in-app purchases. Your mobile operator may charge you for data or for receiving SMS messages. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you clearly beforehand, and you won't be charged without agreeing.
8. Changes to Sufratna
We're always improving Sufratna, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may also pause or stop offering Sufratna. If we decide to stop it, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can, so you can save a copy of your plans.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Sufratna and delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where we're required to by law; where it's appropriate, we'll tell you why first.
10. Our rights
Sufratna, its name, logo, design and software belong to us and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. Nothing in these terms gives you any other right to our name, logo or software.
11. Disclaimer
We work hard to make Sufratna reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss, or that notifications will always arrive on time. Your rights as a consumer that can't be limited by contract are not affected.
12. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Sufratna. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Sufratna is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or SAR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. App stores
If you downloaded Sufratna from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and that we — not Apple — are responsible for the app, its maintenance and support, and any claims about it (including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, and claims that it infringes someone else's rights). If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price you paid; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
If you downloaded Sufratna from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your use of the store.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@sufratna.app — most issues can be solved quickly that way. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be decided by the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If you live outside Saudi Arabia, you keep any protection that the mandatory consumer laws of your country give you, and you may also bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Sufratna or the law changes, and we'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Sufratna after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply; if you don't agree with them, you can delete your account.
16. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we don't give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Sufratna.
17. Contact
These terms are available in Arabic and English with the same meaning. If the two ever differ, the Arabic version applies to users in Saudi Arabia and the English version to everyone else.
